A Glimpse into the Life of the Author
Born in Baltimore, Maryland, and raised in the thriving cultural hub of Toronto, Ontario, Inger Ash Wolfe is the alter ego of Canadian maestro of words, Michael Redhill. An exceptionally diverse artist, he gracefully dons several hats as a novelist, poet, and dramatist. Despite its allure, Indiana University could only retain Redhill for a brief year as he returned home to earn his degrees from the reputed York University and University of Toronto. Throughout his prolific career, Redhill served on the editorial board of Coach House Press from 1993 until 1996. Currently, he plays an influential role as the publisher and editor of the prestigious Canadian literary magazine, Brick.
Into the World of Literature: Insights into His Unique Writing Style
Redhill’s literary prowess shone through for the first time in 1990. Published under his real name, his debut work was a striking poetry collection titled Impromptu Feats of Balance. A decade later, he ventured into novel writing with Martin Sloane, released in 2001. His fascination for mystery novels led him to adopt the name Inger Ash Wolfe, under which the gripping novel The Calling hit the shelves in 2008.
