David Gemmell (1948-2006) is a celebrated author known for his riveting heroic and historical fantasy novels. His stalwart attempts to conquer the craft of writing began earnestly in the 70s. While his initial strides failed to yield the desired results, his brush with a depot cancer misdiagnosis led him back to his writing desk.
