Howell’s Journey Towards Becoming an Accomplished Writer
The light of Howell’s writing career sparked in the eighth grade when her teacher neatly unfolded the world of creative writing to her, captivated, she went on a literary journey lasting a lifetime. In spite of being deviated for about 20 years to nurturing a family, her passion for creating stories remained unquenched.
Moving along her journey, Howell has settled in Southern California, savoring her life surrounded by loved ones and her grandkids.
Milestones in Howell’s Writing Career
In 1988, Howell’s aspiration of becoming a published author crystallized with her book Defiant Enchantress. Having adopted the pen name, Kit Prate for this novel, she sweeped her readers off their feet. Next arrived her novel Anna’s Treasure as Dorothy Howell after a 7 year hiatus. Introducing her Judith Stacy persona came next, with the book Outlaw Love in 1997. However, a distinct milestone was the initiation of her journey as a mystery author in 2008 with the novel Handbags and Homicide.
