Introducing the Author – R.J. Ellory
Born and bred in England, R.J. Ellory is an acclaimed author known for his gripping thriller novels. His various inspirations include the works of Arthur Conan Doyle, Michael Moorcock, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Stephen King. Tracing back, life threw a curveball at Ellory when he was only six; the tragic death of his mother rendered him an orphan. He attended different schools but eventually graduated from Kingham Hill School in Oxfordshire.
Roger’s journey to his first novel began in November 1987, a pursuit that spanned to July 1993. During this period, he completed a staggering 21 novels. Ironically, the only response he received from publishers were rejection letters. Disheartened but not defeated, he discontinued writing, only to find his way back in September 2001. After all, writing was his passion and he craved nothing else!
