Amplifying Books in Order: The Early years of Gryphon
Gryphon’s life took an academic turn in the historic corridors of UCD, where she pursued a BA in History. Upon graduation, she found herself amidst the intellectual air of Waterstone’s Booksellers in Dublin and London, dedicating eight enriching years to the company.
Gryphon’s Transition into Community and Charity Work
Following which, Gryphon diversified her skills by acquiring a Postgraduate Diploma in Community and Youth Work at Maynooth University. Touched by the plight of the less fortunate, she became a part of several charitable organizations, contributing significantly to Women’s Aid, Youth Work Ireland, and the Dyslexia Association of Ireland.

Anne Gryphon’s writing career was sparked in 2013 when she embarked on a Creative Writing course at UCD. Her unique storytelling methods and extraordinary narrative style were quickly acknowledged, earning her the prestigious John McGahern Award for Literature. Her penmanship also found her shortlisted in the Hennessy New Irish Writing Awards, Sunday Business Post Short Story Award for ‘Some Tiny Clue’, and Benedict Kiely Competition with ‘Mr. Henry’. Numerous published short stories later, she ventured into writing her first novel, delighting the world with her impactful narrative in creating books in order.
