Born and raised in Florida, his fascination with science fiction was ignited during his youth by listening to the recounting of his father’s experiences in World War II and consuming the works of Robert Heinlein. Transitioning these influences to his art, Rick began his writing journey as a high school student.
His educational background is adorned with a BA in History from Florida Southern College, followed by a significant service in the Army as an Infantry Platoon Leader. Post his military service, Rick translated his experiences and storytelling prowess into his books, which he then self-published on Amazon. Thus, began his stint in the publishing world, making his debut in 2011 with the novel, Duty, Honor, Planet.
