Jonathan Stroud: A Prolific Writer With a Unique Style
Acclaimed British author, Jonathan Stroud, has a reputation for unravelling the magical allure of YA and shaver’s fantasy novels. Born in St. Albans, he nurtured a love for reading, writing and drawing from a young age. Despite battling health issues during his formative years, he channelled his passion for words into his studies, going on to graduate with an English Literature degree from the University of York.
Following his academic journey, Stroud ventured to London where he initially carved a career as an editor for Walker Books. Translating his love for the written word into creative illustrations, he eventually found himself in the realm of writing. Today, he resides in St. Albans, Hertfordshire, England, along with his wife, Gina, a gifted illustrator of children’s books, and their two children.
