Born out of a rich, multicultural heritage, Alexandre Dumas, père (1802-1870) stands as one of France’s most remarkable authors. Known for his gripping historic fiction and dramatic works, Dumas carved a unique niche in literature. He was remarkably prolific, producing a plethora of novels, the most famous of which include The Three Musketeers, The Count of Monte Cristo, and The Man in the Iron Mask.
