Her thirst for knowledge and passion for literature propelled her across the Atlantic to the United States, where she garnered a B.A. degree in Comparative Literature from Reed College in Portland, Oregon.
Subsequently, she returned to her British roots, obtaining both her M.A. in Prose Fiction and a PhD in Creative and Critical Writing from the esteemed University of East Anglia in Norwich. Pachico has also contributed immensely to academia, serving as a lecturer in Creative Writing at Sheffield Hallam University and teaching the University of East Anglia’s M.A. in Creative Writing.

Julianne Pachico burst onto the literary scene with her 2014 novella, The Tourists.
